Aberaeron is a thriving town offering something for everyone. It was one of Wales' very first "planned" towns, and is situated at the mouth of the river Aeron. Aberaeron's most notable feature is its architecture - one house in every four is listed as being of special architectural or historical interest. The town just invites you to walk round its lanes and streets. There are plenty of pubs and places to eat in Aberaeron and you find it difficult to leave without trying the famous honey ice cream - there is even a honey bee exhibition
